About
Welcome to Strudel Cafe, a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Alicante, Spain, known for its warm atmosphere and extraordinary pastries. Located on Carrer Els Poblets, 03779, Strudel Cafe has quickly become a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike, offering a unique blend of authenticity and flavor that delights the senses.
The aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air as soon as you step inside, welcoming you to a world of indulgence. The star of the show is undoubtedly their Apple Strudel, a dish that has garnered rave reviews from food enthusiasts. Patrons like Ian Mitchell have praised its amazing taste and generous portion size, making it a must-try for those visiting the cafe. Each bite of the strudel is rich with warm spices and juicy apples, a true testament to the skill of the bakers.
But the experience doesn’t stop at strudels. With a focus on quality ingredients, Strudel Cafe offers a scrumptious breakfast selection that stands out. Customers like Simon Ward appreciate the diverse menu options, highlighting the quality of the fresh produce. The artisan bread is exceptional, providing a perfect base for a hearty breakfast or a delightful pairing with your coffee.
The cafe is also a lovely place to unwind, with friendly staff that create a welcoming environment. As Zdeněk Anýž passionately notes, it’s a spot worth turning around for, especially if you’re craving an original strudel for breakfast. While the apple strudel is the standout, there is a request from avid strudel lovers for even more varieties to sample. Imagine a poppy seed strudel with plums or a creamy curd option—these suggestions only add to the anticipation of future visits.
During the summer, Strudel Cafe transforms into a local favorite for beachgoers and picnickers. Whether you choose to enjoy a meal in-house or take away a selection of bakery goods, the cafe never disappoints. The enticing range of pastries, including standout offerings like the almond cake, provides a perfect treat for those relaxing in the sun.
While the cafe shines in many areas, there is room for improvement, especially in catering to dietary restrictions, as some customers noted a lack of gluten-free options. However, this slight gap does not overshadow the overall experience that Strudel Cafe provides.
If you find yourself in Alicante, make sure to visit Strudel Cafe. Whether you're a cyclist stopping for a well-deserved treat or a traveler seeking authentic flavors, this charming cafe is well worth a visit (or two!). Don't forget to savor that apple strudel—it may just become your new favorite indulgence!
“ Great place to have an original Strudel. I was just passing on my motorbike when I saw "Strudel". Immediately turned my motorbike and went for a pleasant breakfast. Thank you! The only what I can suggest to improve is extend varieties of Strudels. The Apple Strudel is amazing for sure and must try if you are near-by but as I am a strudel lover I would like to have sometime in the future some more varieties, like poppy seeds with plums or curd one. Thanks for the nice strudel! I have enjoyed it a lot. ”
“ I visited many times with my friends and service is good. Food is very nice and we often buy items to take home. Today I visited with my husband we would have liked something to eat with our coffee, unfortunately no bread or cakes for people who are gluten intolerant. I was very surprised that you did not have anything. ”

“ Bakery in Dénia – A Summer Favourite This lovely bakery in Dénia is our summer go-to spot for freshly baked goods. You can enjoy a breakfast in-house or grab something delicious to go. We often stop by during our summer stays, and it’s become a tradition to pick up their incredible bread. Their quinoa loaf and chia & corn bread are both hearty, flavorful, and perfect for beachside picnics or light lunches. They also have a tempting range of pastries, and while we've sampled a few, two standouts are the apple strudel, which is perfectly spiced and with lot of apple; and the almond cake, which is moist, nutty, with delicious cream and just the right amount of sweet. Whether you're starting your day with a coffee and pastry or stocking up on artisan bread, this bakery never disappoints. ”
